The Montreal Canadiens will be down a forward for their divisional clash against the Detroit Red Wings.
Josh Anderson is dealing with an upper-body injury and is listed as day-to-day, the club announced on Thursday.
Montreal sits just two points up on Detroit for this third spot in the Atlantic Division.
Anderson has 13 goals and nine assists in 61 games this season. He also ranks third on the team in hits, with 112.
This season marks the 31-year-old's sixth in Montreal, during which he has 157 points (94 goals, 63 assists) in 410 games.
Anderson sat out Wednesday's practice due to a therapy day.
