The Montreal Canadiens will get a key defenceman back in their lineup.
Kaiden Guhle will make his season debut Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, the team announced (7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).
Guhle had been sidelined after undergoing minor surgery on his adductor muscle over the summer.
The 24-year-old has faced a significant number of injuries throughout his four-year career, causing him to miss over 115 games due to multiple upper-body and lower-body injuries.
Last season, Guhle also missed 39 games due to a partially torn adductor muscle.
Montreal made space on the roster for Guhle by trading defenceman Jayden Struble to the Nashville Predators for a 2027 second-round pick on Friday.
