The Montreal Canadiens were without Kirby Dach as they beat the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
Dach was ruled out before puck drop with an illness. He was at the rink earlier in the day, according to Sportsnet's Eric Engels.
Owen Beck slotted into Dach's spot in the lineup.
The 25-year-old Dach has three assists in 13 games this season. In 2025-26, he had eight goals and seven assists over 37 contests.
