Canadiens' Merrill out with injury, Kulak to play in Game 6

Shawn McKenzie and Chris Johnston get you set for Saturday's Game 6 between Maple Leafs and Canadiens, where the Habs should get a boost from their live crowd, and Maple Leafs should expect their top line to rise to the occasion.

Montreal Canadiens defenceman Jon Merrill is expected to miss a week or two with an injury, according to head coach Dominique Ducharme.

Brett Kulak will replace Merrill in the Canadiens lineup on Saturday night for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Merrill, 29, has played in all five Canadiens post-season games, averaging 13:42 of ice time. Kulak played in the first four games of the series before being replaced by Erik Gustafsson for Game 5.

The Canadiens will welcome 2,500 fans back to the Bell Centre on Saturday as the team looks to push the series against the Maple Leafs to seven games. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and SN Now.
