The Montreal Canadiens placed forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard on injured reserve Sunday and later announced he will miss four to six weeks a lower-body injury.
Harvey-Pinard sustained the injury during Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars.
The 25-year-old from Saguenay, Que., got tangled up with teammate Joel Armia during the second period and needed assistance back to the dressing room.
Harvey-Pinard has one goal and six assists in 24 games this season.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens announced defenceman Jordan Harris is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He was hurt early in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Blues when he was hit from behind by Sammy Blais.
Harris appeared to hit his head on the play and was slow to get to his feet.
Blais was given a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct.
Harris has one goal and six points in 31 appearances with the Canadiens this year.
The Canadiens also announced defenceman Kaiden Guhle is still being evaluated after he was hit by Marco Scandella late in Sunday's game.
