Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher and goaltender Carey Price have been re-assigned to the AHL's Laval Rocket on a long-term injury conditioning loan, after which they are expected to be ready for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the team announced Sunday.

Gallagher has been sidelined since April 5, when he suffered an upper-body injury in a game against the Edmonton Oilers that caused him to miss the last 21 games of the season. Price suffered a concussion in an April 19 game against the Oilers, also missing the remainder of the regular season.

Both players are expected to practise with Laval on Monday morning before taking the ice for their conditioning game against the Marlies. Price is set to play half that game, Laval's final of the season.

Montreal's Round 1 post-season series against the Maple Leafs begins Thursday.
