Canadiens' Price won't make trip to Toronto; Primeau recalled from AHL

Check this out, as Canadiens goalie Carey Price is a bit slow to get up after arching his back while getting tangled up with Oilers' Josh Archibald.

Carey Price will remain in Montreal to receive treatment on a potential injury as his Canadiens head to Toronto for a Wednesday-night game against the Maple Leafs, the club announced Tuesday.

During Monday's game against the Edmonton Oilers — a 3-2 overtime win for Montreal — Price appeared to be in some discomfort after making a save early in the second period. The 33-year-old stopped 21 shots in his 64 minutes of work, his second straight start for the club after a 26-save effort in a loss to Ottawa on Saturday.

With Price temporarily sidelined, Cayden Primeau has been recalled from AHL Laval to join backup Jake Allen in Toronto.

Allen has a .922 save percentage through 12 appearances so far this season, while Primeau's put up a .911 through 14 AHL tilts.

Price, who's manned the cage in 23 of Montreal's 35 games so far this year, has a .903 save percentage on the season.
