The Montreal Canadiens have recalled forward Alex Belzile from the AHL's Laval Rocket.
In six games with Laval, Belzile has a goal and four points. The 30-year-old appeared in two games with the Canadiens last season, recording an assist while adding 14 points in 17 games in the AHL.
Belzile was placed on waivers by Montreal on Oct. 18 and was assigned to Laval in order to make room for Mike Hoffman. The move comes a day after the Canadiens assigned Cole Caufield to the AHL with Michael Pezzetta being promoted.
