Canadiens to kick off season with three-game road trip

Fans of the Montreal Canadiens will have to wait a little longer to see their team play at home.

The Canadiens will start the 2025-26 season with a three-game road trip before their home opener on Oct. 14 against the Seattle Kraken.

The full NHL schedule was released on Wednesday.

Montreal begins its season on Oct. 8 in Toronto against the Maple Leafs and visits the Detroit Red Wings (Oct. 9) and Chicago Blackhawks (Oct. 11) before gracing the Bell Centre.

The Habs will meet the Washington Capitals, who eliminated them in Round 1 last season, for the first time on Nov. 20.

They close things out with a road date against the Philadelphia Flyers on April 14.
