The Vancouver Canucks have acquired defenceman Madison Bowey and a fifth-round pick from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a fourth-rounder, Sportsnet can confirm.

Both selections are in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Bowey, 25, suited up in just two games for the Blackhawks this season. He had 17 points in 53 games for the Detroit Red Wings in 2019-20.

The native of Winnipeg was a second-round pick by the Washington Capitals in the 2013 NHL Draft.
