Marco Rossi appears set for his Vancouver Canuck debut.
The team activated its new forward off injured reserve on Sunday, paving the way for him to play against the New Jersey Devils.
Puck drop is set for 12:30 p.m. ET / 9:30 p.m. PT with live coverage on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
Rossi was part of the haul that came from Minnesota in Friday's night's Hughes trade alongside fellow centre Liam Ohgren, defenceman Zeev Buium and a 2026 first-round pick.
The 24-year-old has played all 202 regular-season games of his NHL career for the Wild. The five-foot-nine, 182-pound Austrian has four goals and nine assists in 17 games for Minnesota this season.
Ohgren and Buium will also make their Canucks debuts against the Devils, while Hughes will suit up for the Wild for the first time in their game against the Boston Bruins later Sunday.
To make room for Rossi on the active roster, the Canucks moved forward Elias Pettersson onto IR, retroactive to Dec. 5. He is eligible to come off at any time.
