Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alexander Edler takes a hit and leaves the game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alex Edler left Wednesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens with an upper-body injury and did not return.

It is uncertain when the injury occurred, but Edler only logged 6:58 of ice time before his departure.

The 34-year-old Swede has one assist through five games this season.
