The oft-injured Vancouver Canucks got some good news on Thursday.
Winger Conor Garland will return to the lineup against the Dallas Stars after missing one game with an injury, head coach Adam Foote told reporters after the optional morning skate.
Garland missed Monday's contest against the Florida Panthers after tweaking something during a fight against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Sunday's game.
The 29-year-old has five goals and eight assists in 17 games this season.
Foote also provided an update on injured centre Teddy Blueger, who hasn't played since Oct. 19 against the Washington Capitals.
Blueger will travel with the team on their upcoming four-game road trip as he gets closer to making his return to the lineup. The 31-year-old participated in morning skate in a non-contact jersey.
Blueger appeared to have suffered the lower-body in the final minutes of the October win against the Capitals. On Wednesday, Foote told reporters that the Latvian suffered a setback in his recovery, which postponed his return to the ice.
The Canucks host the Stars Thursday as they look to get back in the win column. Watch live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ beginning at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
