David Kampf is on the move again.
The Vancouver Canucks traded the 31-year-old forward to the Washington Capitals for a 2026 sixth-round pick, the teams announced Friday.
Kampf joined the Canucks earlier this season after having his contract terminated by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He was previously waived before the season and sent to the AHL's Toronto Marlies, where he played four games before stepping away from the team to ponder his future.
In turn, Toronto suspended him without pay on Nov. 2. The Maple Leafs were not incurring his $1.25-million buried cap charge while he was in the minors.
In 38 games in Vancouver this season, he recorded two goals and four assists.
Kampf had five goals and 13 assists in 58 games for Toronto last season, all of which were the lowest totals he had recorded in his four-year tenure with the Leafs.
