Vancouver Canucks centre Elias Pettersson has been ruled out of Saturday night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.

On Thursday, Friedman reported that Pettersson is "battling something," although it is not considered to be serious.

The 22-year-old did not play against the Maple Leafs on Thursday due to an “upper-body injury” that has him out day to day.

Pettersson has recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 26 games with the Canucks so far this season.
