When the Vancouver Canucks open their season, they may be without one of their top-six forwards.
Winger Jake DeBrusk is questionable to play against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday after suffering a lower-body injury, the Canucks told reporters.
DeBrusk is expected to make the trip to Edmonton.
The 29-year-old is heading into his third year with the Canucks after signing as a free agent in 2024. In 81 games last season, he had 23 goals and 42 points. He hit a career-high 28 goals in his first season in Vancouver.
During his time as a Canuck, DeBrusk has missed just one game.
