Elias Pettersson will play after all.
After being deemed "day-to-day" with an injury and a game-time decision for Saturday night's matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights, the Vancouver Canucks forward will slot into the lineup.
Pettersson suffered an undisclosed injury while playing for Team Sweden during the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament, though it's unclear how or when.
He played in all three games for Sweden, recording zero points.
The 26-year-old has 11 goals and 34 points in 49 games for the Canucks this season.
Vancouver returns from the break with a five-game road trip, beginning in Vegas against the Golden Knights on Saturday. You can catch all the action during Hockey Night in Canada on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, starting at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
