The Vancouver Canucks placed defenceman Travis Hamonic on injured reserve Thursday.

Hamonic has picked up two assists through five games with the Canucks in 2021, averaging 18:18 of ice time.

This is Hamonic's first season in Vancouver after spending the previous three with the Calgary Flames.

Defenceman Brogan Rafferty was recalled from the taxi squad to take Hamonic's spot on the roster.
