Canucks place forward Elias Pettersson in COVID-19 protocol

Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau says that while forward Elias Pettersson hasn't had much on-ice success lately he's been impressed with his work ethic and attitude and knows he'll be scoring goals again soon.

Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson has been placed into the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol, the NHL team announced on Wednesday.

Pettersson joins Brock Boeser (placed on the protocol list on Dec. 29), Phil Di Giuseppe (Dec. 29), Justin Dowling (Dec. 30) and Jason Dickinson (Jan. 1).

Pettersson, 23, has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 34 games this season.
