The Vancouver Canucks have placed defenceman Travis Hamonic on injured reserve, the team announced on Thursday.

In the place of Hamonic, the Canucks recalled defenceman Noah Juulsen from Abbotsford of the AHL.

Hamonic left the game on Wednesday against the Boston Bruins with a lower body injury, after taking a hit from Brad Marchand.

Through nine games played in the 2021-22 season, Hamonic has one assist.

The Canucks next play on Friday when they take on the Winnipeg Jets.
