The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Aatu Raty and assigned forward Arshdeep Bains has been assigned to the AHL.
Head coach Rick Tocchet hinted at the possibility of recalling a forward from the AHL to fill the vacant fourth-line centre role with Pius Suter moving to the wing in the top six.
Raty has appeared in three NHL games and has one assist. The 21-year-old also has three goals and seven points in eight games with Abbotsford.
Bains, 23, has appeared in seven games for the Canucks, scoring one goal.
