The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Guillaume Brisebois on emergency from Abbotsford of the AHL.
Brisebois hasn’t recorded a point in nine career NHL games and has not played so far this season. The 24-year-old has an assist in six games in the AHL so far this season.
Vancouver made the trip to San Jose for its game against the Sharks after no additional players tested positive for COVID-19 as of Wednesday night. Canucks assistant coach, Jason King, will not travel with the team as he is in COVID-19 protocol, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
The Canucks currently have four players in COVID protocol: Luke Schenn, Juho Lammikko, Brad Hunt and Tucker Poolman.
Poolman was removed from Tuesday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and placed into protocol.
