The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Loui Eriksson and assigned Justin Bailey to the taxi squad.

Eriksson was placed on waivers on Jan. 11 and was not in the opening lineup against the Edmonton Oilers earlier this week. In 49 games last season, Eriksson had six goals and 13 points.

The 35-year-old is in the fourth year of his six-year, $36 million deal with the Canucks. Bailey did not play in the Canucks' back-to-back games against the Oilers to start the season.

Vancouver will travel to Calgary to take on the Flames with puck drop at 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet.
