The Vancouver Canucks are adding some size to their blue line.
Defenceman Jamie Oleksiak is joining the Canucks on a two-year, $10 million deal worth $5 million in average annual value, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday.
The six-foot-seven blueliner has spent the last five seasons with the Seattle Kraken. He tallied five goals and 10 assists over 78 games last year.
One of the best shot blockers in the league, Oleksiak stopped 106 shots last season and hasn't fallen under 100 blocked shots in any of the last four campaigns. He added 112 hits last year as well.
A native of Toronto, Oleksiak has 45 goals and 116 assists over his 14-year NHL career, split between the Kraken, Dallas Stars and Pittsburgh Penguins.
