The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenceman Matt Irwin to a two-year, two-way contract, the team announced Saturday.
The deal carries an AAV of $775,000 at the NHL level and guarantees Irwin a salary of $450,000 for both years.
Irwin, 35, spent the last two seasons with the Washington Capitals. He recorded five points (two goals and three assists) in 61 games in 2022-23.
The Victoria, B.C., native has played 461 career NHL games across 12 seasons, amassing 93 points (25 goals and 68 assists).
