Vancouver Canucks forward Tanner Pearson will be out at least four weeks with a lower-body injury, head coach Travis Green told reporters on Friday.

The 28-year-old winger left late in the Canucks' 3-2 shootout win over the Ottawa Senators and did not return.

Pearson has 11 points in 33 games with the Canucks, his third season in Vancouver.

Earlier this month, Canucks general manager Jim Benning expressed the desire to re-sign the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent.
