It took Tyler Toffoli all of 89 seconds to make his presence known in his return for the Vancouver Canucks.
Toffoli, back in the Canucks’ lineup on Tuesday for the first time since Game 1 of their play-in series against Minnesota, buried a pass from Elias Pettersson to put Vancouver on the board first against the Vegas Golden Knights in his opening shift of action.
Toffoli’s absence this post-season has been due to a suspected lower-body injury. The 28-year-old racked up 10 points in 10 regular-season games after being acquired from the Los Angeles Kings.
The Canucks seek to even their series with the Golden Knights after dropping Game 1, 5-0.
