Capitals acquire forward Michael Raffl from Flyers

The Washington Capitals have acquired forward Michael Raffl from the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Capitals are sending a 2021 fifth-round pick back to the Flyers in the trade.

Raffl, 32, is an unrestricted free agent a the end of this season and currently owns a $1.6 million cap hit. He has three goals and five assists through 34 games this season.

The undrafted Austrian has spent the entirety of his eight-year NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers.
