A second starting goalie has been forced to leave Game 3 between the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadiens.
Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson has left the game after a back-checking Dylan Strome landed on top of him. Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky scored on the play.
Thompson remained on the ice underneath Strome after the goal for a moment, and as he tried to get up was seen favouring his left knee. He stumbled as he got up and was helped off the ice and back to the dressing room.
Capitals coach Spencer Carbury did not have an update on Thompson's condition after the game.
Thompson's exit comes just one period after the Canadiens' starter, Sam Montembeault, left the opposite net with an injury as well.
The Capitals have replaced Thompson with Charlie Lindgren, who made his fifth career playoff appearance.
