The Washington Capitals are getting left wing Alex Ovechkin back for Game 1 their first-round series against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, per head coach Peter Laviolette.
Ovechkin has been sidelined since April 24 after suffering an upper-body injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs, missing the last three regular-season games for the Capitals.
Washington's captain was a full participant in the team's practice on Sunday but was previously deemed unavailable.
The 36-year-old has recorded 90 points in 77 games this season with 50 goals and 40 assists.
