The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Bogdan Trineyev to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Sunday.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 in the American Hockey League.
Trineyev was set to become a restricted free agent this summer.
The 23-year-old from Voronezh, Russia, recorded 22 points (14 goals, eight assists) in 62 games with the AHL's Hershey Bears this season.
Trineyev was drafted in the fourth round, 117th overall, by Washington in 2020.
He had 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 63 games during his first full season with Hershey last year. Trineyev also added four assists in 20 playoff games to help Hershey capture the Calder Cup.
