The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Daniel Sprong to a two-year, one-way contract. The contract carries an average annual value of $725,000.

The 23-year-old was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks for defenceman Christian Djoos in February. He had 33 points in 44 games between the AHL's San Diego Gulls and Hershey Bears in 2019-20, including 12 goals.

He had two points in eight games with the Ducks this season and has appeared in 97 NHL games between the Ducks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
