The Washington Capitals have re-signed defenseman Martin Fehervary to a seven-year, $42 million contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
Fehervary is coming off his fourth season with the Capitals, recording 25 points in 81 games. He appeared in four post-season games, scoring two goals and three points.
The 25-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft by Washington.
In 299 career games during the regular season, he has scored 22 goals and 75 points. In 81 career playoff games, he has five goals and 25 points.
