The Washington Capitals have added forward Daniel Carr on a one-year, two-way deal, the club announced Sunday.

Carr's deal will pay him $700,000 at the NHL level or $415,000 at the AHL level.

The 28-year-old is currently playing for the Swiss club HC Lugano, where he'll remain until the Capitals begin training camp in preparation for the 2020-21 season.

Carr has 111 games at the NHL level on his resumé, split between the Vegas Golden Knights, Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens. He posted one goal in 11 NHL appearances in 2019-20, for Nashville, and amassed 23 goals and 50 points through 47 games for AHL Milwaukee.

He has two goals and an assist through four games for HC Lugano this season.
