The Carolina Hurricanes announced in a press release Wednesday that Jesper Fast will be re-joing the team as a development coach.
Fast announced his retirement as a player in June after missing the entire 2024-25 season. He sustained a neck injury during the 2023-24 season and proceeded with neck surgery in August 2024.
The six-foot-one right wing played 703 games across 11 active seasons with the New York Rangers and Hurricanes.
Fast had 101 points (36 goals and 65 assists) in 283 games with the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes have also added Freddy Stanley as a communications assistant and John Stanier as a video coordinator to the staff.
