The Canadian Hockey League's goaltender of the year has earned a shot with his hometown NHL club.
Kitchener Rangers graduate Jackson Parsons has signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the Ottawa Senators, the NHL club announced Wednesday.
The Ottawa native, 20, was 37-12-3 with a 2.24 goals-against average and .920 save percentage with the Rangers last season.
Along with his CHL and OHL goaltender of the year honours, Parsons was named the OHL's overage player of the year.
