Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Ritchie has been handed a one-game suspension for slashing Anaheim Ducks defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk.
The incident occurred in Friday night’s game late in the first period when Ritchie and Shattenkirk were up against the boards whilst exchanging some choice words.
Ritchie has been on a tear since joining the Coyotes, recording eight goals and 10 points in 17 games after starting the season with just two goals and nine points in 33 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
