The Arizona Coyotes announced Friday that they have signed former KHL defenceman Vladislav Provolnev to a one-year contract for the 2021-22 season.

As per team policy, the exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In 48 games this season with the KHL's Severstal Cherepovets, the 25-year-old had 10 goals and 10 assists. Provolnev's 10 goals were good to tie for fifth among KHL defencemen.

“We are very pleased to sign Vladislav,” said Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong via a team media release. “He is a big, strong defenceman who skates well and plays a physical style. He also has a good shot and can contribute offensively. He will be another good blueline prospect for us.”
