The Arizona Coyotes have signed forward Josh Doan to a three-year entry-level contract.
Doan's deal with the Coyotes will begin in the 2023-24 NHL season. The 21-year-old will join Arizona's AHL team, the Tuscon Roadrunners and play in his first game Friday against the Calgary Wranglers.
The Coyotes selected the son of former longtime captain Shane Doan in the second round (37th overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft.
"We are very pleased to sign Josh to an entry-level contract," said Armstrong. "Josh has played very well for ASU the past two seasons and has earned this deal. We look forward to continuing to watch his development the remainder of this season in Tucson."
Doan recorded 16 and 38 points in 39 games with Arizona State in Division 1 NCAA this season. The Scottsdale native also registered 37 points in 35 games with the Sun Devils in 2021-22.
