Sidney Crosby has added another milestone to his remarkable career.
The career Pittsburgh Penguin passed Mario Lemieux for the franchise's all-time lead in combined regular season and playoff points with a second-period goal against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
Crosby corralled the puck off a face-off, drifted into the slot and fired the puck past Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen.
The 38-year-old now has 1,896 career points, including the Stanley Cup Playoffs. His long-time teammate Evgeni Malkin ranks third with 1,535.
Crosby is currently in his 21st season with the Penguins. Only three players have played more seasons while spending their entire career with one team. Alex Delvecchio's 24 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Stan Mikita's 22 with the Chicago Blackhawks and Steve Yzerman's 22 with the Red Wings.
Lemieux spent his entire career with the Penguins, scoring his 1,895 points in only 17 seasons.
Another career Penguin, Kris Letang, also reached a milestone in the game, recording his 600th career assist in the third period.
