The New Jersey Devils have reacquired forward Nathan Bastian, claiming him off waivers on Thursday.

The Seattle Kraken placed the 23-year-old on waivers on Wednesday.

As Seattle's expansion pick from the Devils, Bastian saw limited time with the Kraken, averaging just over nine minutes per game in 12 appearances. He had one goal and one assist with Seattle.

The native of Kitchener, Ont., a second-round pick by New Jersey in 2016, had three goals and seven assists in 41 games with the Devils last season.
