The New Jersey Devils will have centre Jack Hughes back in the lineup in time for Tuesday night's big game against the San Jose Sharks.

Devils coach Lindy Ruff confirmed Hughes' status to reporters on Tuesday.

Hughes, 20, has been sidelined since suffering a separated shoulder on Oct. 19 against the Seattle Kraken. Hughes had two goals and one assist for three points through the first two games of the season.

The Devils are 9-6-4 this season. They are coming off a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, just their second win in their last seven games (2-3-2).
