The New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks are shaking up their forward depth.
In a swap of minor leaguers, the Devils acquired Thomas Bordeleau from the Sharks for Shane Bowers on Wednesday, the teams announced.
Bordeleau, 23, spent 59 games with the AHL's San Jose Barracuda last season, compiling 14 goals and 24 assists.
His 44 career NHL games include a brief one-game stint last season. He has six goals and 12 assists at the big-league level.
Bowers, 25, was with the AHL's Utica Comets for 65 games last season, picking up three goals and 14 assists.
Over 13 career NHL games, Bowers has yet to record a point.
