The New Jersey Devils are adding some depth to their forward corps.
Left-winger Angus Crookshank has signed a two-year deal with the Devils, the team announced Tuesday.
According to the team, the first year of the deal is a two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $425,000 at the AHL level. Then, in the second year, the deal converts into a one-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
Crookshank, 25, played for the Ottawa Senators last season, splitting time between the NHL and AHL levels.
Over eight games with Ottawa, he had no goals and one assist, but had 22 goals and 18 assists in 62 games with Belleville, the team's AHL affiliate.
Originally drafted by the Senators 126th overall in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the North Vancouver, B.C. native has two goals and two assists in 21 NHL appearances.
