Another top Anaheim Ducks prospect is about to play his first game at the top level.
The Ducks are calling up six-foot-six forward Roger McQueen from AHL San Diego, the team announced Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, the Ducks placed forward Ryan Poehling on injured reserve. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks with an MCL sprain.
The Ducks also said forward Cutter Gauthier is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Gauther and Poehling both were hurt in a win Saturday against the Calgary Flames.
McQueen will make his debut Tuesday against the Flames (Sportsnet West, Sportsnet+, 9:45 p.m. ET / 7:45 p.m. MT).
The Ducks picked McQueen 10th overall in the 2025 NHL Draft.
After three seasons with the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings, the Saskatoon native played NCAA hockey at Providence College last season, notching 11 goals and 16 assists in 37 games.
McQueen has three goals in four games with San Diego this season.
Forward Nikita Klepov, picked 15th overall by the Ducks this season, made his NHL debut with Anaheim last week.
