Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf has been listed as week-to-week with an unspecified lower-body injury, the team announced Friday.
Though the nature of the injury is still unclear, it appeared to occur during Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings. Midway through the first period, while contesting Kings forward Alex Iafallo near the side boards, Getzlaf seemed to hurt his leg and proceeded to head to the locker room and did not return. Getzlaf went on to miss Wednesday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The 36-year-old, who has been a member of the Ducks since 2006, is in the midst of a resurgent season. In 23 games, he has one goal and a team-leading 19 assists.
Anaheim’s next game is tonight against the Calgary Flames, a game which can be seen live on Sportsnet ONE starting at 10 p.m. ET.
