The NHL postponed Thursday night's game between Detroit and Anaheim because of "COVID-related issues" involving the Ducks.

Anaheim placed center Sam Carrick, goaltender John Gibson, defenseman Hampus Lindholm and right wing Vinni Lettieri into the NHL's COVID-19 protocols before the game.

The NHL said the game has been rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 9.

Previously, the Ducks had only Trevor Zegras on the COVID-19 protocol list (Dec. 28). The Red Wings do not currently have any players in protocol.

The game between the Red Wings (16-15-3) and Ducks (18-11-7) was to take place at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The game joins two others previously postponed from the night: Toronto-Montreal and Ottawa-Seattle.
