Anaheim Ducks defenceman Jamie Drysdale will be out of the lineup for four to six months after suffering a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
The injury occurred during last Friday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights, when he went straight to the locker room after getting hit in the corner by William Carrier. In eight games this season, the 20-year-old has not registered a point while averaging 17:37 of ice time.
Anaheim selected Drysdale sixth overall in the 2020 NHL Draft.
In 113 career NHL games, Drysdale has totalled 40 points.
