A Ducks forward is lighter some bucks.
Anaheim Ducks rookie Beckett Sennecke was fined $2,000 for embellishment, the NHL announced Tuesday.
Sennecke was fined for a play during a March 15 game against the Montreal Canadiens that saw him take an exaggerated fall after Montreal forward Josh Anderson briefly tapped him. Both Sennecke and Anderson received penalties on the play.
The fine came after Sennecke was warned for a similar incident in a March 8 game against the Blues.
Sennecke leads all rookies with 54 points (21 goals, 33 assists).
The Ducks lead the Pacific Division with 82 points and are poised to make the post-season for the first time since 2018.
