The Anaheim Ducks signed prospect Herman Traff to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced on Sunday.
Traff's deal begins next season, but he will report to the San Diego Gulls of the AHL for the remainder of this season on an amateur tryout.
Traff, 20, posted 23 goals and 18 assists in 51 games this year for Oskarshamn of HockeyAllsvenskan in Sweden's second division.
The six-foot-three, 216-pound winger finished three goals shy of setting the league record for goals by a player 20 or younger.
During the 2024-25 season with HV71 of the SHL, Traff posted three goals and four assists.
Traff was originally selected by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 2024 draft.
